The Five Love Languages of Teenagers
                     Gary Chapman

Never has there been amore exciting – or more challenging – era in
which to be (or parent) a teenager. The benefits of living in today’s
global society are great. But so are the dangers. Across the nation,
pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, abortions, drug usage,
homicide, and suicide have all become common place among teens

Yet despite these facts, moms and dads continue to have a dramatic
impact on their children. Research shows that parents - not peers -
exert the most significant influence in the life of a teen. And the door to
that influence is love. The key to opening that door, according to Gary
Chapman, Ph.D., is learning to express that love in a language that
                          makes sense to your teenager.

    Beyond Belief to Convictions

                  Josh McDowell and Bob Hostetler

Beyond Belief to Convictions
gives us a clear plan for
grounding our youth in a solid relationship with Christ and
for unlocking the answers to the fundamental questions of
life itself: Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I
                          going?
When our kids embrace the Person of Truth, they
will be fortified spiritually, morally, and emotionally to
stand strong in the face of today’s culture.

 Bringing up Boys
                       Dr. James Dobson

Finally, some sensible advice and caring encouragement
on raising boys – from the nation’s most trusted parenting
                            authority, Dr. James Dobson.
With so much confusion about the role of men in our
society, it’s no wonder so many parents and teachers are
at a loss about how to bring up boys. Our culture has
vilified masculinity and, as a result, boys are suffering.

    Parenting Today’s Adolescent
Dennis & Barbara Rainey with Bruce Nygren

When and how should you begin to prepare your child
and yourself for the turbulent teenage years? According to
bestselling authors Dennis and Barbara Rainey, it’s never
too early – or too late – to start In Parenting Today’s
                          Adolescent
, the Raineys draw from their own
experiences raising six children, teaching hundreds of
preadolescents in Sunday school, and speaking with
parents throughout America to provide them a mapped-
                          out plan for adolescence.

    Teenage Girl
                     Ginny Olson

Girls are more than just sugar and spice. We’ve all figured
that out. What we haven’t figured out completely is how
they’re wired, why they do what they do, how the world
around them affects their choices and opinions, and what
that means for youth ministry – until now.
                          In Teenage Girls, you’ll get first-person, no-holds-barred
views of what it means to be a teenage girl in the 21st

century, along with helpful suggestions on how to better
understand teenage girls, process the issues your own
students face, and learn how you can help them and
mentor them through this tumultuous time.
For men and women who work with teenage girls, this
book will open your eyes to what’s going on inside and
around them – and better equip you to help them walk
                          through adolescence toward becoming intelligent,
                          confident, Christian women.

    Teenage Guys
                     Steve Gerali
In order to really meet their needs, youth workers and parents
need to fully understand the inner workings of adolescent guys.
In Teenage Guys, author Steve Gerali unpacks the areas of
development adolescent guys experience, providing illustrations
culled from his years as a youth pastor and clinical therapist, as
well as practical research findings to equip youth workers (both
male and female) to more effectively minister to teenage guys.
Inside you'll get unflinching, no-holds-barred views of what it
means to be a teenage guy in the 21st century, along with helpful
suggestions on how to minister to teenage guys and their families,
process the issues your own students face, and help them and
mentor them through this tumultuous time.
For men and women who work with teenage guys, this reference
guide will open your eyes to what's going on inside and around them.
You'll be better equipped to help them walk through adolescence
toward becoming mature, confident, Christian men.
